Peter is an American Kenyan who has returned to Kenya to engage in the entrepreneurial and business community as an investor. Having lived in Kenya and the United States, and through his studies in Economics and International Relations at Tufts University, he was made acutely aware of the relative impact capital could have on driving economic growth in Africa.
During his time in University, he returned periodically to Kenya where he developed arboriculture projects for Crescent Springs Ltd., restructured its management, and created frameworks for accounting practices. After his graduation, he furthered his business education through the Tuck School of Business Bridge Program and at its culmination received faculty commendation.
While in America, he joined Market Shield Capital as Associate Managing Director, where he took on multiple interdisciplinary responsibilities including: running the firm’s investment strategy and activity in its CPIQ Fund, and managing the financial activity of the multiple entities within the Market Shield Capital portfolio. Peter was core to the development and scaling of the firm’s next generation asset-pricing tool for the U.S. housing market, which was created under the Weiss Residential Research moniker.
Outside of the office, his pursuits include supporting early stage enterprises, and acting as an advisor to various regionally focused enterprises. He is thrilled to find himself on a rugby pitch when time permits.
